Order an Image
By the 1920s, Kent was an important commercial center which supported the agricultural and dairy activities in the Green River Valley. This photo, taken on a rainy day in 1925, shows a corner in the Kent business district. The Kent National Bank, founded in 1906, occupies the corner building on First Avenue South, along with a drugstore. On the second floor are a doctor's office and a real estate and insurance office.
