Order an ImageAround 1860, gold was discovered on Ingalls Creek, near Blewett Pass in Washington's Wenatchee Mountains. This started a gold rush to the area. Over the next fifty years, Blewett district mines produced about $1.7 million of gold. Even years later, people continued to try their luck in the area.
