Order an Image
The Sullivan family arrived in Seattle in April 1918 with only $69.43 and found an abandoned farm in Kennydale. A year later, they were completely self-supporting, and their children were in school. In this photo, Mr. Sullivan, his wife, four of their children, and their pet dog are by the door of their wood frame house.
