This image depicts boxing champion Barney Ross standing with the youngest son of prominent Seattle boxing promoter Nate Druxman, near the Druxman home. The photo was probably taken when Barney Ross was in Seattle for an April 9, 1935 bout, sponsored by Druxman, at the Civic Auditorium. Ross defended the Junior Welterweight Title against challenger Henry Woods, winning by decision after 12 rounds.
