The Seattle Yacht Club's Opening Day is the nation's largest regional celebration of water, spring, and the opening of boating season. A tradition since 1920, the parade of boats starts at noon the first Saturday in May with a cannon blast, while spectators line both sides of the Montlake Cut to view the boats as they enter Lake Washington.
