Metropolitan Theatre program for Martha Graham recital, June 2, 1930

Martha Graham, the pioneering modern dancer and choreographer, performed at the Metropolitan Theatre in Seattle in 1930. This program lists the twelve pieces performed, including "Immigrant," "Adolescence," and "Poems of 1917." Martha Graham was accompanied by composer-pianist Louis Horst. The center of the program advertises a special dance course to be offered by Martha Graham at The Cornish School of Drama, Music, and Dance from June 23 - August 2, 1930. The recital was presented by the Seattle Chapter of Pro Musica and the program lists their officers, including President Franklin Riker, as well as the music faculty at Cornish and Lakeside School.
