Order an ImageThis image looks north along 3rd Ave from Pike St. The top of the Space Needle is visible in the distance. The Garden Art Theater at left was an adult movie theater at the time this photograph was taken in 1967, but the building had earlier been home to the Winter Garden Theater, which opened in 1920 and was one of Seattle's first theaters designed specifically to show films. Other businesses visible here include Coleman's Jewelers, Leed's Shoes, and Taylor's.
