This northeast facing view of Second Avenue at Marion Street shows the Victorian clapboard Stetson-Post Building with its central tower. Built in 1883, it was variously known as the New York Kitchen Block, the French Row Dwellings, and the Rainier Block before its demise in 1919. On the corner is Robeson Bros., a store owned by Samuel I. Robeson and Charles K. Robeson, which manufactured, recovered, and repaired umbrellas. Two doors north is the Great American Importing Tea Company, at 803 Second Avenue.
