Order an ImageThe Great White Fleet, or Atlantic Fleet, was sent by President Teddy Roosevelt on a peacetime goodwill tour around the world beginning December 16, 1907 and ending February 22, 1909. On May 23, 1908, the fleet arrived in Seattle for a four day visit, including a parade on May 26th and opportunities to tour the ships. This photo is likely of people on their way to visit these ships.
