The Seattle YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) was organized in 1876 by Dexter Horton and 14 other prominent Seattleites. This building was located in Downtown Seattle at 1417-1423 First Avenue between Union and Pike Streets. It was one of several locations used by the organization over the years; the current location is at 909 Fourth Avenue.
