This view shows the Hotel York (previously Ripley Hotel) located at the northwest corner of First Avenue and Pike Street in the Palmer Building. Designed by architects Arlen Towle and Frank Wilcox in 1890, the Palmer Building was razed in 1904 after foundation damage sustained during the 1903 construction of a tunnel beneath the city by Great Northern Railway.
