Visitors' Guide to Fairground, layout for printing, 1962
Order an ImageThe Century 21 Exposition (also known as the Seattle World's Fair) ran from April 21 to October 21, 1962. Nearly 10 million people attended the fair. The exposition's displays and attractions were centered around themes of science and technology, but included showcases for a variety of world cultures.
Seattle artist Stuart Moldrem (1925-2015) drew this map of the fairgrounds. Moldrem ran his own art school, Moldrem's Atelier of Art and was an award-winning artist for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. This map, probably draw for publication in the P-I, names buildings and exhibits and includes illustrations of the fair's most recognizable features.
