One million silver dollars stacked would reach 8,800 feet into the sky!

This leaflet describes the immense efforts of the Treasury Department, the Behlen Manufacturing Company, Northwest Historical Medals, Inc. (formed by Walla Walla numismatists Barnard Tomlinson, Vernon Bosley, and Lawrence McBride, who were given the exclusive contract to design and distribute the nine official souvenir medallions for the World's Fair), and the Pinkerton Security Agency in securing, transporting, and displaying this massive collection to the public. Leaflet includes an illustrated list of cities visited as the coins were transported from Philadelphia to Seattle, and concludes with a selection of "Million Dollar Facts," designed to give fairgoers a measurable sense of the size and scale of the exhibit.
