Order an Image
"The mammoth interior of the giant Washington State Coliseum building, which is 11 stories high in its center and offers almost four acres of unobstructed space, will house the theme exhibit of Man in the Space Age at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. A six-story complex of cube-shaped structures is under construction to house the theme exhibit. On the floor of this building will be many other exhibits, and one-fourth of the floor space is being utilized by France for its major exhibit at the fair."

This image shows not only the various parts of the Coliseum's roof and support structures but also the Space Needle in the distance. The Coliseum is now Key Arena.
