The American Library Association, with its eight-ton UNIVAC computer, presented the library of the future. Visitors gave questions to a librarian who answered it using the computer, which had been preprogrammed with a variety of facts and quotations. Harold Ostling, in the dark suit at left, worked for the company that made UNIVAC computers and was in charge of this exhibit.
