Promotional leaflet for Japanese Village, Seattle World's Fair, 1962

Order an Image
The Japanese Village was situated near the Gayway and the Hawaiian Pavilion at the Seattle World's Fair, encouraging visitors to step inside and "escape the Western World." This leaflet for the village includes illustrations, a calendar, and information describing each of the village's many attractions: real Japanese pearl divers diving for pearls, traditional Japanese tea cermonies, flower arranging by Japanese artisans, authentic Japanese gardens, the $2.5 million City of Nikko Exhibition, and exotic shops and bazaars.
