William H. "Dode" Brinker, University of Washington baseball player, circa 1905

William Hutchinson Brinker was also known as "Dode" and "Bill." He played on the University of Washington baseball team from 1903–1905, and was the program's head coach in 1906, 1909–1910, 1915–1916, and 1918–1919. Brinker also played professionally in 1912 for the Phillies as outfielder and third baseman.

The William Jennings "Wee" Coyle collection chronicles Coyle's sports career and teammates starting in high school and on through college, as well as his later career as Lieutenant Governor of Washington State.
