The Puget Sound Bridge and Dredging Company built many sizes of bridges in the Puget Sound region. This photo, taken around 1911, shows one of the company's smaller bridges, a steel bridge across the White River, near Kent, Washington. At the other end of the scale was the first floating bridge across Lake Washington, built by the company in 1939-40.
