Prop from Almost Live! "Denim Alert," 1991
This prop was used for a fake commercial on the Seattle television comedy show Almost Live! Poking fun at both the fashion for extra tight jeans and ads for the product “Life Alert,” “Denim Alert” promised assistance for denim-based emergencies. Wearing this prop around her neck, cast member Tracey Conway cried “I’ve zipped my jeans, and I can’t get up!” Almost Live! aired on KING5 from 1984 to 1999, with this sketch airing in1991. This prop was donated by cast member Tracey Conway who wrote and starred in the sketch.
