Collection of eight electrical power cable cross sections, 1930-1960
These vintage power line cuttings were collected by Keith "Baghog" Rosand during his work for the Seattle City Light. Rosand started with SCL in 1974 as a high voltage cable splicer for their underground network. He was promoted to foreman and eventually crew chief and, at one point, was nominated SCL president. But he declined and chose to continue to work in the field until his retirement in 2002. He and his crew would often find relics such as these when servicing power vaults that had been closed for years or decades.
