Bill Nye’s baseball scoring clipboard and radio, 1980s-1990s
Order an ImageBill Nye (b. 1955) is widely known for his television show “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” his advocacy for science education, and his books about science for children and adults. Nye is also a baseball fan. In the 1980s and 1990s, while living in Seattle, Nye brought this clipboard to Mariners games to follow along with the scoring. Elastic bands in the clipboard held a small radio which connected to a headset, so he could listen to the announcer call the plays.
