Chair from the house of the Hoo-Hoo lumberman fraternal organization, 1909

The International Concatenated Order of Hoo-Hoo is a fraternal and service organization whose members are involved in the forests products industry. This chair is from the Hoo-Hoo House that was built for the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in 1909. The organization's mascot is the black cat and this feline image is stamped into the chair. The AYPE building was designed for the Order by Ellsworth Storey, and after the Exposition, served as the University of Washington faculty club until the mid-1950s.
