Westland Distillery is a Seattle business co-founded by Matt Hofmann who studied Economics at the University of Washington before earning his Master of Arts degree from Heriot Watt University in Scotland. In 2015, the distillery was named Whiskey of the Year by the American Distilling Institute. This bottle features the Seattle Kraken who are the first professional hockey team to play in this city since the Seattle Totems, who ended their run in 1975. The Kraken are also the first Seattle hockey team to compete for the Stanley Cup since the Seattle Metropolitans, who won it in 1917.
