Talking Rain bottle, 1987

Talking Rain beverage company was founded in 1987 by John Stevens and Pete Hiskin in Bellevue, Washington. This bottle is from the first year of production. According to the company website, the name "Talking Rain" was created when the two founders were in Murphy's Bar in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle hatching a plan to sell sparkling water with natural flavors. The song "Burning Down the House" by the Talking Heads was playing in the background and the lyrics inspired the name of the brand.
