Cylindrical tin for Garden Grown Coffee from Crescent Manufacturing Company, ca. 1930
The Crescent Manufacturing Company was founded as the Larsen Extract Company in 1883 in Seattle, Washington. By the early twentieth century, Crescent began supplying fresh roasted coffee in addition to its baking powder, extracts, spices, and nuts. Crescent was sold to McCormick and Company in 1989, and consolidated its operations in Kent, Washington in 1990.
