Jean Hicks is a Seattle-based milliner, felt-maker and educator. Her hats are functional and often theatrical in style. She began work on this hat on January 20th, 2017, the day of President Trump’s Inauguration. It uses hand-felted Merino and Finn wool, is lined with up-cycled cashmere knit, and adorned with a felted comb. “Big and orange, it’s a ridiculous hat,” said Hicks.
