This software package is part of a collection donated by Frank Catalano who was one of the first local broadcast journalists to cover the personal computer revolution in the 1980s. At that time, he created and hosted the weekly Northwest Computing show for KING-AM and, in the 1990s, tracked the tech industry with a long-running "Byte Me" column that first ran in Eastsideweek and then Seattle Weekly. Frank also aired news segments several times each week on KCPQ-TV Seattle until the early 2000s. Starwave, a software and website company founded in Bellevue, Washington, in 1993 by Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft), released this software program featuring the popular Muppets in 1996. The company was later acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 1998.
