This software package is part of a collection donated by Frank Catalano who was one of the first local broadcast journalists to cover the personal computer revolution in the 1980s. At that time, he created and hosted the weekly Northwest Computing show for KING-AM and, in the 1990s, tracked the tech industry with a long-running "Byte Me" column that first ran in Eastsideweek and then Seattle Weekly. Frank also aired news segments several times each week on KCPQ-TV Seattle until the early 2000s. Frank, who worked in marketing for Egghead Discount Software, stated that packaged software could be an art form in itself, with decisions made to both accurately represent the product while enticing a customer to pick up the box. He worked on "A Passion for Art" and the artwork image on the front was intentionally made crooked to encourage customers to pick up the box to "straighten" it.
