At that time, he created and hosted the weekly Northwest Computing show for KING-AM and, in the 1990s, tracked the tech industry with a long-running "Byte Me" column that first ran in Eastsideweek and then Seattle Weekly. Frank also aired news segments several times each week on KCPQ-TV Seattle until the early 2000s. Medio Multimedia, maker of CD-ROM magazines and online services, was founded in Redmond, Washington, in the 1990s, by former Microsoft managers.
