This diskette and manual are part of a collection donated by Frank Catalano who was one of the first local broadcast journalists to cover the personal computer revolution in the 1980s. At that time, he created and hosted the weekly Northwest Computing show for KING-AM and, in the 1990s, tracked the tech industry with a long-running "Byte Me" column that first ran in Eastsideweek and then Seattle Weekly. Frank also aired news segments several times each week on KCPQ-TV Seattle until the early 2000s. This Microsoft product was released in 1982 and was recommended for both experienced and beginning typists. The program helped the user increase his or her typing speed and accuracy through a series of lesson and drills.
