Stanley A. Hostek (1918-2014) was a prominent and influential tailor in Seattle. In addition to owning his own custom tailoring business, he taught tailoring at Edison Technical School (now Seattle Community College) and authored a series of instructional tailoring books in the 1970s. He made this dress for his wife Dorothy Hostek.
