Rhodes Department Store shopping bag, Seattle, ca. 1960s
Order an ImageRhodes brothers Albert, William, Henry and Charles established the Rhodes Brothers department store in Tacoma in 1903. Albert Rhodes left Rhodes Brothers in 1907 and moved to Seattle, where he opened another store. The department store chain survived for sixty years until the Pay 'n Save corporation purchased the chain in 1968 and renamed it Lamonts.
