Geoduck plush toy made and signed by Ron Konzak, 1973
Ron Konzak (1934-2008) and his family moved to Bainbridge Island in 1965 and worked for architecture firms in Seattle. He was the only one commuting by bicycle on the ferry at the time. An avid musician and performer, Ron co-wrote "The Gooey Duck Song" with friends Jerry and Judy Elfendahl in 1972. Ron, along with Betsy Wilkenson, also made this geoduck toy and sold versions of them locally. The geoduck has long been considered a delicacy from the Pacific Northwest.
