Between 1996 and 2013, Building 25 on Microsoft’s campus in Redmond, Washington, was the world headquarters for MSNBC.com, the online news site that was a joint venture involving Microsoft and NBC News. More than 100 journalists, developers and business employees kept track of goings-on around the world, updating the MSNBC.com website 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Editors and producers in Redmond coordinated the work done at MSNBC.com newsrooms in New York, Washington and London, and worked with NBC News correspondents around the world. Partnerships were forged with Newsweek, The Washington Post, The New York Times and other media outlets in the internet news business.
