Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) device, "Casio Cassiopeia E-10 Pocket PC," 1998
This early PDA device or Pocket PC (Personal Computer), released in 1998, is part of a collection donated by a Microsoft employee who worked at the software company from 1999 to 2004. Microsoft would develop the software and prototype devices and then work with a manufacturing company, like Cassio, to build the PDA. The Cassiopeia E-10 used a Microsoft Windows CE operating system and had a greyscale screen. Even though it predated the donor's time at the company, he used the E-10 for his research on the Pocket PC 2000 release.
