Local television show, "Boomerang," was broadcast on KOMO from 1975 to 1980 with host Marni Nixon, a Broadway star known for dubbing the singing voices of famous actresses such as Natalie Wood and Audrey Hepburn. The show featured a group of puppets including the star Norbert, along with his friends Libby, Melinda, Rookie, and others, all of which were designed by Lee Olson, and operated and voiced by both Lee and Kathy Tolan Schnuckel. This Emmy was awarded to Kathy in 1978 for her work on the episode ""A Boomerang Christmas Special."
