Gray felt hat with felt feather, made by Wayne Wichern, ca. 1990s-2000s
Order an ImageThis gray hat, accented with a playful felt feather, was created by Seattle milliner Wayne Wichern. He started designing in 1986 and was trained and mentored by influential Seattle milliner John Eaton. Like Eaton, Wichern is passionate about teaching classes and sharing the craft of hat making. He is quoted as saying, "By putting on a hat we become a different person. We are becoming the theater instead of the observer."
