Speed-X Morse Code Key used by Paul Jacobs while enlisted with the US Army Signal Corps on Adak Island, ca. 1942

Seattle resident Paul Jacobs was stationed on Adak Island (Aleutian Islands in the Bering Sea) in Alaska during WWII and was a Radio Operator 776 using the Speed-X Key Morse Code device to send messages for the Army. He was part of the US Army Signal Corps and earned both an Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
