Boeing flight suit worn by Jean Chamberlin, 2008
Jean Chamberlin was the Vice President and Program Manager of Boeing’s C-17 Globemaster III—a military transport aircraft. Chamberlin wore this jumpsuit during a 2008 mission to bring supplies and parts to bases in Turkey and Germany. During the long flight, she slept on the floor next to piles of CH-47 Chinook helicopter blades. Upon arrival in Germany, the aircraft was converted into a flying hospital to transport wounded soldiers home. She wore the jumpsuit with a leather jacket (MOHAI 2017.24.1.2) and a pair of tan boots (MOHAI 2017.24.1.4)
