The 96-foot BLUE PETER was designed by Ted Geary and built in 1928 at Lake Union Dry Dock & Machine Works in Seattle for John Graham, Sr. It was later owned by Seattle yachtsman and maritime expert Horace W. McCurdy. The maritime flag, Blue Peter, signifies that the ship is ready to sail on its voyage.
