Award of Recognition Certificate presented to President Nicholas Heer for his service to the Dorian Society, 1971

Nicholas Heer moved to Seattle from New York in the 1960s to begin a teaching job at the University of Washington. He was instrumental in the formation of the Dorian Society, Seattle’s first formal gay rights organization. He became its first President in 1967 and received this certificate in appreciation for his service to the organization.
