With the passing of Initiative 502, the purchase of recreational marijuana became legal in the state of Washington. Cannabis City was the first retail store to open in Seattle. 65-year old Deb Greene waited all night to be the first in line at the Cannabis City store, and she was quoted in the newspaper as saying that she would like to donate a portion of her purchase to MOHAI as this is truly an historical moment.
