Cartoon reprint by David Horsey lampooning Ron Dunlap in the King County Executive election, 1981

Ron Dunlap served three terms as a Washington State Representative from 1974-1979 and 10 months as King County Executive in 1981. When running for King County Executive re-election, his campaign was well-funded by real estate and development interests as depicted here in this illustration by longtime Seattle Post-Intelligencer cartoonist David Horsey. Dunlap was defeated by Seattle City Councilman Randy Revelle by a narrow margin. Revelle donated this cartoon to MOHAI.
