"Self Care Reform Movement" condom pack from the Northwest AIDS Foundation, ca. 1990s
The Northwest AIDS Foundation was formed in Seattle in 1983. From the beginning, the organization focused both on care for AIDS patients and on educational campaigns. In 1985 the organization received a grant from the U.S. Conference of Mayors to create a safe-sex educational campaign which included the “Rules of the Road” campaign to promote condom use. This “Self Care Reform Movement" pack is from the 1990s and contains instructions and information, lubricant, and a condom. In 2001, Northwest AIDS Foundation merged with Chicken Soup Brigade to form Lifelong AIDS Alliance.
