Platform shoes purchased from "Blue Beards" retail clothing store on the Ave in the University District, ca. 1974

These suede lace up shoes were purchased from Blue Beards, a former retailer in Seattle's University District. The owner bought them in order to dress up for going out to Shelly's Leg, Seattle's first openly gay bar and upscale dance club.
