White straw hat with Dalmatians, made by Bes-Ben, 1946
Order an ImageBenjamin Green-Field was known as “Chicago’s Mad Hatter” because of his whimsical hat designs. He had devoted clients from all over the country, including the Seattle customer who owned this hat. Green-Field created several designs with dogs, and among those Dalmatians were one of the most popular motifs. This white fascinator has blue veiling and is decorated with Dalmatians in bright red collars. There are seven dogs, six on the front and one on the back.
