Félix Abraham Hernández, born in 1986 in Venezuela and nicknamed "King Felix," is a starting pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2005. Hernández's fastball has been clocked as high as 100 mph and he often uses a two-seam fastball, as well as hard curve, changeup, and a slider. In 2011, a special cheering section for Hernández, dubbed "King's Court", was created in the previously named Safeco Field by the left field foul area. In 2012, he threw the first perfect game in Seattle Mariners history, and it was the 23rd perfect game in MLB history.
