The Hawkins family, who lived in the Skyway neighborhood of Seattle, purchased this television set at a furniture store on Airport Way across from the Renton Airport. The father worked at Boeing, and their daughter, who donated the TV to MOHAI, was eight when the TV was purchased. It was one of the first televisions in that neighborhood in 1948, and the donor remembers watching the cartoon show, "Crusador Rabbit," as well as children's shows "Kukla, Fran and Ollie" and "Howdy Doody."
