Tank top commemorating the Opening Day crew competition between the University of Washington and Soviet Union rowing teams, 1987

This tank top is from the opening day of boating season when the University of Washington (UW) rowing team competed against the Soviets. They had raced against each other in 1958 and the UW was the surprise winner. This time the Soviets dominated. The Russian text on the tank top roughly translates to "Seattle - First Day - Competition - May 2, 1987."
