Parker McAllister (1903 - 1970) was an artist who was most noted for his illustration work at the Seattle Times and on Lucile McDonald's Washington state history texts. This image appears on page 54 of "Washington's Yesterdays, Before There Was a Territory," published in 1953. He worked primarily in watercolor, but was a photographer as well. McAllister illustrated articles written by Donald H. Clark who was the father of the individual who donated this work to MOHAI, and this illustration was given by McAllister to Clark in the 1950s.
